98'v10 swap in a 2000' v8 ram

cause i got the v10 and the axles and everything i need for the swap for less then i could find a good running used junk60 for. let me ask you this. why would you spend $3500.00 or more to beef up a 360 to do the same job a v10 could do for alot less. i dont have that kind of money to dump on just a motor done the right way. perspective} i could buy arb lockers and gears and tires for that kind of money. but i dont have money for that either. so i use what is cheapest to get the job done. its a work truck not a daily driver! did you see the gas prices !!!! $3.13 for 87 here in wis.

Matty675 the V10 MPGs are still pretty good considering what alot of the V8 360's are getting. I'm Still getting 10-12 going on the 9th year of owning mine.

Sounds like a good swap especially if the price was right.

so got everything swapped in and motor runs ,only problem is i cant get the head lights to work .the tail lights and dash lights dont come on either . does anyone have any ideas? dome light works and the dinger to let you know the lights are on works. its the 2000 dash in it yet. 98' engine harness. all fuses are good

bravo! im impressed, you got 'er in in pretty short order.

my only issue with the v10s is lack of aftermarket
