Default Drag race dodge ram vs acura integra

So me and my friend left school during lunch to do some illegal drag racing . His car is a 91 acura integra b18a engine will built heads but the rest is stock. He said he has never lost to a truck and the only car that has ever beaten him was my buddys 07 mustang v6. So we lined up and my 360 pulled on him hard. Even when we raced 60-110 i pulled on him. When we got back to school and i told him the truck is practically stock with 252,000 miles. he likes trucks now! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imYJQy4kdb0

The video won't load, but if it's what I think it is you won by luck. I only say that because I have a 97 Integra, B18, with just a CAI, exhaust and some other minor mods and I've worked my cousin who was driving my Ram. As well as a friend of mine in his 2001 360 shortbed. Both times at Barona speedway of course.

Small cars while having small engines, have this thing called power to weight going for them. Trucks don't have that.

They definitely do. Mine does not VTEC, and its pretty damn quick. 5spd. The power kicks in at about 3500 and stays through just before 7k. Looking at that video, I'd say a few ponies escaped the pen in that car. Old engines don't make power like when they were new. That and it looks to be a 4 door, prolly an automatic in that configuration.

it was auto. 120,000 some cheap cold air intake, exhaust and rebuilt heads. 2 door!!! the car runs fine, 0-60 in about 9.5 sec, stock is like 10.5 my truck with exhaust, intake, hypetech with my 31 inch tires on 8 sec 0-60. its an old acura its not gonna be fast. maybe, maybeeee if he had a 5 speed he could win but i doubt it. when i went to 8th mile track, 97 civic 5 speed i beat just as bad. a stock 1998 ram 5.9 is 245hp 335lbstorque. stock 1991 acura 1.8 is 140hp. the engine is to small to have a better thing called power to wieght ratio, thebigredone!

Stock 5.9 is 230hp/330tq at the crank.

I stand corrected. 1998 had more power than the older 5.9 Magnum. Still, it's at the crank. You're not getting near that much to the wheels, especially with a 4x4.

in 98-01 they had 245hp, 94-97 had 230.

i went on you tube, and the old acura legends with the 5 speeds and fast, the integras are not. stock integras arnt fast untill 1994-1995. so there is no comparison between 91 integra and 95 integra gsr, i thinks theres like a 40-50hp difference. and if thats the case then those cars do have a good power to weight ratio compared to dodge ram. but i raced a 91, so it doesent matter ha

Read this, crunch some numbers and come back:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power-to-weight_ratio

That car doesn't have a 1.8 by the way. Unless it was swapped in. And if that were the case, it would run as quick as a 2nd Gen Integra.
