Default The ultimate mileage solution

Well I figured it out.

All you need is one of these

And one of these

I was getting infinite mileage in my car earlier with that combo.
I broke down for the first time ever in my Camaro a little while ago and had to get my mom to take my truck to me then pull me home.
I'm thinking about getting rid of that piece of crap and finding another $1000 car somewhere.

LOL. Dont feel bad man, had to get a pull multiple times in my old pos cheby (distributor died on top of a bridge once. That was interesting). Glad i traded up to a 2nd gen ram. Now if i could just get folks to stop calling me at 2am to pull them out of the mud I'd be golden

Turn the ringer off on your phone at night and you'll be golden.
My ringer stays off on the house phone and the cell gets silenced when I go to bed. If I don't see the number pad light up then the caller will get the answering machine (which is at a low volume too).

It was a bit interesting for me because that was the first time my mom has ever pulled a vehicle with a chain. There was some pretty violent chain getting tension moments. After the first take off I told her to go slow until the chain gets tight because I didn't want to have to find another spot to hook it if she ripped the first spot off. Then she was concerned about the truck with the violence, I reassured her that the truck can take it and to keep getting it, but to quit jerking the crap outta the car.

I know what you mean. For the first time since I bought in new in Nov '00, my RT had to come home on the hook about 2 weeks ago. Was out running some errands and she wouldn't fire off so I had to call a friend of mine to pick it up and bring it home. Turns out after 7 years my MSD box crapped the bed and killed the spark. Disconnected it and I'm back in business.

Get an older Mazda or maybe a Honda. Then again, I paid $1,000 for my '91 GTI, 4-banger, an engine which carries the nickname "Rock Crusher" as they have a reputation for being indestructible. If you can get your hands on an older VW diesel, jump on it. 40mpg+ is nothing to sneeze at.

I doubt I would get that lucky (the diesel). I was thinking about trying to find a 90's model Nissan or Toyota pickup but that's only if I can't figure out what's going on with the Camaro.

In the early 90's, Mazda had a joint partnership with Ford. Ford supplied the engine and trans, Mazda provided everything else...well, fast forward 20 years later and I've had to replace damn near half the engine and the trans more then I'd ever care to on my '92 Mazda 626 beater. I'd go with a Honda or toyota if you wanted a nice beater.

Are you talking price or mileage? Either way, you can. Craigslist, VWVortex, or The Samba Classifieds.

Had? They are still intertwined on many levels. One of the best cars I ever owned was my 1996 Protege, a car I regret to having traded in to this very day. My current daily driver is a 2006 Mazda 3 Hatch with 56K miles. Fun as hell, handles well, and has a great reputation.

I would never recommend a Toyota to anyone considering all that is coming to light that the company has spent the better part of 20 years hiding from the general public.

You should never use a chain, a tow strap is so much safer.
