lifters
now i just removed my TB and looked good down in the plenum and OMG at the oil! dam!! oh well i will get the plenum kit from Hughes and get it done. i also have to do the roller rockers SO>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> what about changing the lifters and push rods as well. with out the cam or a new cam would be needed?
is this just too much and i should leave it alone? im just looking for opinions.

if you stick a scope to the intake adjacent the heads and don't hear anything strange- like tapping or screeching- I wouldn't swap the tappets.. Unless your looking to truly bump that engine up with a new performance cam, and the existing cam doesn't have excessive wear from debris or a funky tappet bearing, I'd leave it alone too.. I would inspect the rods for wear and make sure they aren't clogged with anything like sludge or such; as well as make sure they aren't at all bent.. other than that, I would leave well enough alone..
this is coming from someone who just had to swap out a single bad tappet a few weeks ago (I did eight, but only one was bad).. as aggravating as that was, I still wouldn't swap them out preemptively..
