Back when all I had was the pickup, and gas prices would go up, instead of worry about my gas budget (cause I knew my Ram wasn't ever going to get good gas mileage), I just adjusted one of my other spending habits instead. For example, if I ate out one less time in a month, that pretty much covered the extra cost of gas. If I bought fewer sodas or Starbucks, same thing. Better on my waistline too. At the end of the month, I had spent the same as I would have usually spent even though gas prices where much higher. If you look at your own spending, I bet you will find that there are other easy ways to save money that will yield more results then trying to find better mpg's in your Ram.

Same here. Went from 10mpg to 46 mpg for $1500. Paid for itself in 6 months, and that was just using it to drive to work and back. Now I don't worry about the cost of gas when I drive the pickup because it gets driven only when I need to or want to.

BINGO! I drive my Dodge only when I need to haul stuff. My Daily Driver right now is a 2006 Mazda 3 Hatchback. Roomy enough to haul what I need when appropriate. My soon-to-be daily driver will be my 1991 VW Golf.
