Default airaid cold air intake

Ok i have 1998 1500 V8mag 5.9 and i was thinking of getting an airaid cold air intake. Just want some better information on them and sum opinions on the subject. Is it worth spending about 300 hundred dollars for one?

I have found several threads on this forum and others depicting how they made their own. from the looks of them it can't be that hard. Just look at the TBI and you can figure one out on your own and save a boat load of cash and stil get the same job done.

You'd be better off buying the 14x3 filter for $50 than paying $300 for a 4-1/2'' tube, a filter, and a air hat.

The Airaid I once had did the same thing. If I where to waste money on a CAI, it certainly wouldn't be an Airaid.

I bought a Spectre from autozone for $115, a CAI is a CAI is a CAI. I had the 14x3 and switched to this to see if I liked it so far it seems about the same all in all. It is your wallet do as you please.
