I have a 96 Ram 1500/ 5.2 Magnum. Recently after coming off the highway my Oil light will flickers. I had my oil and filter changed and it still happens. I also have the Oil gauge which reads around 40. Does anyone have any Ideas. It only seems to happen after exiting the highway. If I give it some gas it goes out.

 

Hey MikeWidd, i have that same problem with my RAM right now. When i get of the interstate and brake to a stop, my oil pressure drops but when i give it gas it jumps back to 40psi. I would say its the oil pressure sending unit that is going out. They are pretty cheap. If not that the next thing to check would be your oil pump. and if all else fails take it to dodge to have it checked for internal problems
