There are two things that can kill you on a motorcycle.

1. Your own Stupidity. This is the one that bites most folks in the keester. Just keep asking yourself, Am I REALLY in control here?

2. Someone elses Stupidity. This one is always fun, and now, with texting/sexting/yakkin on cell phones, got a whole lot more dangerous.

I love bikes. I have owned one most of my adult life. My first transportation was a Honda CB350.... (a vibrational weightloss plan on wheels.....) Ride Smart. Ride Safe. ENJOY THE HELL OUT OF IT!!!

That's a good bike to start on. Parts are cheap and plentiful. Which is an absolute must for a bike you will lay down at least once.

If you keep your head in the right place, you won't need to worry about parts, damage and bodily injury. It is true that most of your dangers are going to come from other motorists (or animals) of some sort. When I ride, my eyes scan constantly no matter where I am at. The 250 will get you where you want to go as quick as you need and minimal worries about overtwisting your right hand.

I suggest to anyone wanting a bike to start themselves or their children on a dirtbike. Much softer landings and teaches you soo much control in what you will encounter with daily riding on the street. (If possible of course.) You have a fine bike and I hope you make the right choices. Enjoy!!!!

Keep it green. It looks cool like that. Plus if your not dead/injured list in six months to a year, and are getting into it you'll probably want an upgrade I bet. I'd recomend to save your money for replacing stuff if you scratch plastics, dent tanks, break off varius doodads and buying all the expensive, but necessary, gear you likely talked yourself out of buying like top notch helmet, boots, eyewear, etc. Eespecially if you are a hard drivin rookie, you will likely suffer more frequent booboos and expenses in the beginning as you learn the ropes. Plus good bike maintenance isn't exactly free. Even if you already a good offroad rider just still be careful as many of those texting, half deaf and blind, little old lady in their high powered, american made ,4 wheeled ,iron caged and armored plated road carnage machines don't even notice us 2 wheelers are there until we are road grease half the time or find us still attached to the bumper at the next gas stop... It's a different world on the road and rookies road riding like a grand prix race or metal mulisha stunt pilot don't usually make it.

I've ridden all sorts of off road toys and thought I knew it all. When I took my course to get my bike license I thought, ah I wont learn anything, I've been on two wheels for years. But the course I took was really good and had good instructors and I walked out of there with a lot more knowledge of road riding than I expected. Like bigram said you always need to be scanning the road way ahead of you and keep an exit plan at all times, hitting the dirt on the shoulder of the road hurts a lot less than the black top. Also, spend the money on good safety equipment, especially in the helmet department. Dont do like some fools in my town, riding R6's with no helmet, a wife beater, basketball shorts and flip flops.

Thanks for the warnings guys, for that reason I took the MSF course so that I would be safer on the bike. I dont want to be like every other 20 year old and kill myself within the first six months. As for the look, im thinking about painting like the pic, But putting the v8 where it says ninja. Or maybe just the dodge symbol.
I bought the bike for 2500, and there is only 5000 miles from 1 owner. Around here thats a pretty good price, All i have to do is change the speedo cable. Time to start looking up how to do it lol.

Nice I think I have my wife talked into letting me get a bike now! Looking at a zx6r same color as yours with powercomander and yosh pipe, its a 06 and they want 5,500 for it. It would be a great pay off this summer saving on gas.
