I feel like the Village Idiot
Yep.
I do.
Why? I broke a bunch of stuff yesterday.
I decided to get bold and start trying to get those stupid plug wires off before I had replacements....bad idea.
I ended up ripping the insert out of the one I was trying to get off.
I also broke a little cap that goes over the extra vacuum fitting on the intake manifold.
Oh, you want pics?
Sure, you can have pics.
Here is the insert that's stuck on the plug:

Had to yank this off with needlenose:

Here is the cap on the vacuum port I broke:

Well, now, the truck I am going to go to the bank to pay off today is no longer drivable for the time being.
Oh well. Looks like I'll be doing that tune up sooner than I thought.
BTW, anyone know where I can get that little cap from??? I'm wondering how long its been broken. I just kinda touched it and the end fell off.
Thanks guys.

you can fix the spark plug wire by bending the metal tabs on that end piece back and stripping a bit of casing off to the core of the spark plug wire and fold over the outside of the casing and the put the metal piece back on and clamp it back on. i can't see any broken vacuum lines. maybe you could crazy glue it?
I'm not worried about the plugwire; the truck doesn't get driven much anyway.
Besides, I need to do a tune up so I'm gonna get new everything. It's just annoying.
The circled area is the cap I broke:

if it isn't leaking then don't worry about it.. I have both ports on my air-gap capped with the same type cap, and a cap that was provided by Hughes to do just that..
as far as the plug wire- I'm with crazy..

^I would rather replace the cap. I just don't know where I'd get one.
Dealer?
Chances are, either way, I'd have to show the guy at the counter what I'm talking about. Thankfully my dealer has some 2nd gen Rams as parts trucks.
