Weekend Projects
Well, did a few things this weekend I thought id share.
Installed grille guard and cup holder boss gave me.

And fabricated some spring clamps that in theory, reduce axle wrap and act as a kind of traction bar, without a bar. It is a theory lol, but it didn't cost me anything.

I had some 1/4" thick, 2" wide metal strips that I cut to 4 1/2" long. The springs were 2 1/2" wide, so 4 1/2" will give you an inch on each side. Drilled 7/16" holes on both sides on all four strips, ground them, painted them, then bolted them on with I believe 2 1/2" long 7/16" bolts with washers, lock-washers, and nuts. Simple build. Good luck
I just built them and installed them today, so no real world experience with them yet. But from what I've read they make somewhat of a difference
I only did the back. I thought about doing the front too, but I swear I read somewhere also that doing both adversly affects the suspension. It might have been a jeep rock crawling website so it might not hurt the daily driver who doesn't need the same flex as they...

You'll have to research it. Like I said, it may not do what people say it does, but it is supposed to perform in the same manner as a traction bar, to an extent. It is supposed to hold the leaves rigid so under acceleration, the leaf back doesn't try to wrap, and keeps them from fanning out when flexing.
