I mean with fairly cheap mods or the like.

Got any ideas how to remove the rest of the rust? Plenum is fine on it, will get a tune up later in the month, nothing wrong with the cat that I know of, wires have been cleaned up before I reinstalled the carpet

I removed the upstream o2 sensor and it seems to run better (also love the sound of it lol ) but it's producing this smell either like raw gas or something similar suggestions?

Clogged cat more than likely.

I said new cat, didn't I?

Usually a cause of plenum problem, although, your plenum may have been repair once before and the cat never taken care of.

If your cat is clogged, you will have a loss of power (falls on its face) somewhere above 3k rpm (it varies), fouling plugs no. 7 and 8, pretty much zero exhaust pressure behind the cat.

The way everyone test them around here is taking the truck cold, removing pre-cat 02 sensor, driving it for a minute and seeing if it drives better/revs at all.

If you don't have emissions, just hollow it out for the time being. Though you might throw a code, depends on your engine.
