I'd be more worried about the water your towing, and sloshing around.
500 gallons of water is around 4167 pounds.... Thats the water only, no trailer or tank.

 

Yeah GCWR for your truck is 12,500 so you got another 4,000 pounds to go, your truck should barely know you have anything back there.

 

Jesus my truck could only run 45mph going up a small(well small out here...) hill, id hate to think how it wouldd do climbing a steep pass out here!! Seriously time for a 2500 lol.

 

2500 wont help unless going to diesel or V10, I can yank around a airboat like its not even there and its about the same weight.

 

Yea, going diesel. I am not going to just buy a truck though, its going to be exactly what i want because i want it to last and i dont want to be unhappy with what i have. Needs to last me several years.

Thats a dulley lol, i want a daily driver diesel. 5.9L 12v or maybe a later 24v and id like either the 5 or 6speed behind it. Not going auto again. Also i think my first mod to the truck is going to be the EMS lockout kit...

 

I wonder why your truck has such a hard time pulling that boat? I've pulled 7800 pounds with no problems.
