onboard air system
I know this is on a 3rd gen truck I just wanted to show you the onboard air system I made for my dads truck and see what you guys thought.
I found a 5 gal aluminum air tank rated for 150 psi. and a viair 380C compressor with 100% duty cycle at 100 psi and 200Psi max. We used a 150psi switch with a built in relay. I talked him into using flat stock to plate the frame rather than drilling it. We used 1/4'' stock for the plates. I gave him a picture of the mounting plate that viair sells and he made his own with sides on it. I mounted the air filter in the bed. I think it came out good for a last second project. We went down to a beach that had no paved roads in the town and you had to drive on the beach for 45 min to get there we needed to air the tires back up when we got back on the pavement.
