i have a 1997 1500 with a 5.9 in it now engine blew was told the 2001 5.9 was the same so i bought one now i have notice that there are 2 temp sensors on my old engine and only one on the 2001 what do i do with the one that i cant use
also i have notice that the fuel rail is different along with the injectors are different will the 1997 injectorfit in the same injector place and just change the rail or do i have to change the whole intake? all help would be great thanks james

 

Just take the intake off your old motor and put it on the new one.

 

And fix the plenum while it's off. And use the flexplate/flywheel and the front crank pulley from the 01 5.9

 

ok so the engine turns over now i dont have spark at the coil or power there or at the injectors change crank sensor and cam sensor still now power either spots and asd is getting power and i replace relay to be sure still no spark
