Oh, this is going to be very, very bad...

I had better start saving up for this, plus labor costs...

Solid Rear Suspension; Rear Diff; 4WD; Dana 60 4.10 & DWN 35spline ABS (F/F or semi-float) complete POSI.; 2-Tab Clutch

Don't replace the whole axle. That is a waste. There won't be anything wrong with the housing. Just fix the broke stuff.

What I listed above I think is just ring/pinion and posi unit. $400, plus bearings, seals, and installation I would imagine.

That's actually not a bad price...... Posi units usually run around 500 by themselves.

Found it on Rock Auto. Description doesn't tell a whole lot other than what I copy/pasted. Surely that price is too good to be true.

Anyway, how much posi additive will I need to add to the gallon of gear oil I put in? Bottles around here are 4 oz.

Not that it matters, but, I think there must be something wrong with your build sheets(misprint?). And yes, it's the ring gear.

A 200mm is a 7.87 ring gear. (If you have a 2500, maybe it has a Dakota rear end, lol) I don't think even they have that small of a rear end in them.
216mm is dana 44 8.5"
235mm is the 9 1/4 corporate
248 is dana 60 9.76" front or rear
267 is dana 70
and 286 is dana 80

I told you already how they can say that. The gear box is power assisted. Not that it makes it right of course.

my build sheet suprised me. it said i had the 3.55 gear lsd rear end. i have the ss/t model and all the ss/t where sapposed to come with the 3.92 only thing i saw that could of been wrong. i still dont know wut gears i have in my beast all i know is i get both tires lighting up when i power brake it.. but when i slam on it from a stop both will light up but towards the end of the spinning the left tire will slow and the right will be alittle longer in mark length

I'm going to run into my local Dodge dealership and get a build sheet from them. I did this a couple years ago with my '04 Grand Cherokee, and it seemed like it was more thorough/complete than what I got emailed to me.

Can anyone tell me if the Dana 60 in a 2500 gas Ram is a full floater or semi-floater?
