ain't that the truth. if you live in a big city you could be raped by insurance depending on how many accident happen in the city on average and your record. for the longest time when my dad was young he had everything registered to his parents place because of how cheap insurance was compared to where he was living.

That's when you fudge on your insurance and tags a little to get cheaper rates. Case in point my step father's brother moved to Winston-Salem, NC from Galax, Va for work (Norfolk Southern) and with the rates in Winston crazy high he simply made is old Va address the garage address on his insurance and left his Jeep Va tagged so he could get the Galax, Va rates. It's all legal too.

We are buying my wife's '02 Buick Century from my mother (She bought PT Crusier, bank said easier to get new loan then to trade in car, low trade in value on previous Grand Am with blown motor and tranny - $1k)

Instead of going through the hassle of getting a loan we simply make the payments and added my wife onto the policy, it's still Va tagged & insured, has been for over a year now, police don't care, as long as it's insured.
