Question 2000 Dodge ram non sport headlight replacement with sport lights

I have a 2000 Dodge ram half ton non sport and last night i hit a deer and broke one of my headlights, so i figured that it would be a good time to do a headlight conversion. I would like a set of sport headlights (quad beam), and since dodge wont give me any information, i thought id come here. So, my question is this, how hard is it to do, do i need a new wiring harness and how much can i expect to spend? i was also looking for a good set of 6000K HID lights to put in as well. any help would be appreciated. thx

If you want to go with HID, you should get headlight buckets designed for them. There are kits on ebay for reasonable prices...... I think there are a couple threads in the tech section on just this topic as well. Might wanna read thru those for some good information.

Thanks but I am hoping to not purchase stock replacements as I prefer the one-piece units.

I am also hoping to verify that the Indy is in fact considered a Sport model.

You wouldn't have to cut the fender. Yes you need a harness, it's about $200.

Daniel Stern lighting has a kit for that. You need the bulb that the housing is designed for. Don't use HID in a housing designed for halogen bulbs.

Also check Rockauto.com, they have a good array of options.
