I was having similar thoughts, and chuckling.

Since my RAM has held up well for the past 15yrs, I haven't had requirement for a spare vehicle... and now that I'm proactively changing out parts that are about to get tiered, I'm hoping that I will continue to have no requirement.

But hey, the wife has a nice new Dart.

 

My primary back-up is a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the 4.0. And if all else fails 2007 Ford Exploder ironman edition with the 4.3 V6 ( yuck) I freaking hate the exploder

 

my main vehicle is my 99 caravan with the 3.0. I've owned it for a bit over 3 years now and it has its issues. My dad owned it for many years before me.

 

I don't have a backup vehicle... if the truck dies, and I need to go somewhere, I have to fix it....

 

The truck is my backup / utility / outdoor vehicle. A 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix is my current daily driver, but I'm looking to replace it.

My Ram is my backup vehicle, have a 2013 F150 for a dd

 

dd is 99 Ram diesel, back up is 98 Ram. K.

 

Old beat up 1997 Toyota Corolla with over 240,000 miles on it....
