I agree, nothing's perfect. But i wouldn't ever recommend any diesel but a cummins...
Mopar Mike: I think 1) the fords like in the second pic i posted are WAY to feminine looking
2) after the boxy-ish style in the first pic i posted every ford HD has looked obese.

My brother-in-law's father in law (confusing I know) has a 2005 Dodge 2500 Cummin's 6 Cylinder (+/- a year) and they took it down to Florida to help some people move, they get half way down I75 and it broke down, wouldn't crank, pop in law went down to see what was wrong, something electrical with the fuel delivery, they pulled it with my father in law's '02 Ford F-150 to Lakeland, Fl where they were headed, turned out to be several electrical problems, none the which I remember nor care too.
Same thing happened to my friends 03 cummins 4x4 4 door shortbed, and I had to pull him home with my little 5.2!
Lol
But the old 12 valves had their fair share of problems too, like the killer dowel pin, and the weak block castings.
The Early 24 valves had the same problem with weak castings too. Also lift pump and injection pump problems.
Thats because they are purely mechanicaly operated and can be put into just about everything.
