I mean, man alive, lying to the House Ethics Committee while being Speaker of The House? Talk about disrespecting the institution!

Newty is in it for Newty, and he couldn't care less about our country. Sociopaths are just that way.

And speaking of Newty, I am proud to say that I helped our DA put away a teacher for having sex with underage girls recently. Has everyone forgotten that Newt married his high school biology teacher (after having sex with her while he was her student). I don't believe that it is any less wrong based on gender of teacher/student.

An then divorcing one wife while she was in the hospital with cancer so he could marry the woman he had been having an affair with? How many times has he done this?

If Newt would screw around like that, he will do the same to us. unregistered is right - Newty goes where the money is....like so many others, I am afraid. So therefore, learn and understand waht the Occupy movement is really about (and not on Fox so called News). Occupy is a non vilent Jeffersonian revolution. I make a point to go to Occupy Austin when I travel there for business (like the end of this week actually)....stepping away from soapbox....again....slowly....

Every election, for me anyway, it's always about voting for the lesser of two evils. Looks like next year will be the same as the rest.

"In my name and over my signature"... as if someone else wrote his statement and he didn't bother to read it. It was just an ethics investigation, not something important like booking a hotel for his next rendezvous with his mistress (now Missus Newty the third, also a claymation) while putting Kenneth Starr up Clinton's back door for being blown by a fat chick.

Well, shucks... do you want to ride on the Titanic, the Challenger, or the Columbia? You want your turd sandwich on wheat or white? There ain't no better. There's only rump wrangled. If you're not pissed off, you're not paying attention.

And we have a winnah!

Of course, depending on which aspects of them you are looking at, there IS NO DIFFERENCE between the two evils. Have a look at foreign policy, looks exactly the same as the last administration to me. Lets go play in some more wars!! And economic policy..... More free trade agreements, corporate america is STILL getting tax breaks for moving our jobs overseas, and Obama seems to think that tax cuts for the rich will help create jobs. Doesn't seem to matter that it has NEVER worked in the past..... Maybe this time it will be different?

And then of course, have a look at how who gets to run is decided...... do people base their decisions on the issues? Do politicians get a chance to talk about them much? Or, do they spend their time defending themselves against accusations of misdeeds in their private life? Whomever spends the most money, wins. So, gotta keep those campaign contributors happy, else, they will go and back someone else, and start digging up dirt on YOU.

Quite frankly, next election, I will NOT vote for a republican, nor will I vote for Obama. I am hoping for some viable third party candidate. Not gonna hold my breath though. Is "None of the Above" an option?

Or, you all could just write me in.

Every politician lies. They do it every day, and ESPECIALLY during campaigns. How can you tell a politician is lying? His lips are moving.

Oh I'm pissed alright but also feel like there isn't much I can really do about it.

I wish something like this would gain critical mass. http://www.americanselect.org/

That pretty much sums it up. Money (an power) corrupts. I thinka lot of folks get into politics for the right reason, but soon learn that to play the game, you goot be someone's b****. And the working man doesn't matter.

Back in the 82 I won national press awards for best Overal Political Coverage and best Original Political Cartoon. I was a Ben Barnes type Democrat (Former Speaker of the Texas House), a good conservative, comon sense fellow. But things have changed over the last several decades....and not for the better. Men like Ben will not play the stupid corporate money game. And corporate money does not care about "We the People." The American Revolution was not fought over tea. It was fought over corporate takeover of government functions. The British East India Company was given this colony to rule over. You could not male clothing here in the colonies in the 1700, the cotton had to be shipped to England to be spun into cloth, then returned here at a higher price, and a tax payable to BEI Co.

Now it's Wal Mart, Citi Group, and so on. Bring back Amercian manufacturing andf you'll bring back jobs. Shack, my Ram was built in Mexico....

This is apparently something of an Urban Myth that the media never bothered (SHOCKINGLY) to fact check.

There is a lot of conflicting information out there in the world on this.... none of which I would consider unbiased, one way or the other...... He is on his third wife, and second religion....... are we having fun yet?
