fixed a clogged cat by gutting it (with pics)
my CEL light came on today. it popped up after doing about 80 on the highway. stopped at autozone it was a p0132 says high voltage in sensor one? i wonder if thats because there is no sensor one? lol. bout a month away from a new exaust anyways than ill replace the sensors. trucks in the shop for an axle housing anyways so its not being driven for the next week
I'm interested in doing some exhaust work soon, don't wanna deal with the hassle of the Y pipe or cat's so, I'm thinking true dual's with no cat's, and two cherry bomb muffler's. I've always been a fan of Magnaflow, but the cherrys are cheaper.
I should be able to make this happen towards the end of the month

very cool let me know how that sounds. im doing my exaust in january some time after the holidays im not sure waht im going to go with yet for mufflers i know i want a high flow cat (not really caring who makes it) but not sure bout manufacturer on muffler
The one's I'm looking at are Cherry Bomb Glass Packs, I've done some youtubing on them, and from what I've seen/heard they sound pretty good
I guess your not to good at shopping around on the internet....I found magnaflow direct replacement high flow cats for $100 shipped from suppliers at the most common place to look. and the no name ones start at $80...and you can usually bolt or weld them in. If thats too much for you to spend than maybe it would be smarter to sell the truck and buy something thats better on gas so you have some spending money again... these trucks require maintenence.... without it you will end up spending much more in wasted gas and bigger repairs down the road in some cases... its the whole penny wise pound foolish thing.. and its got nothing to do with saving whales...Not to sound like a tree hugger but ... there's like 7 times more auto pollution in the world now than thier was just 10 years ago ironically according to the news this week.

Shoot. Run it by here, we'll pull it up on the ramps and I'll throw a weld around it!

BTW, I've looked online at six places, including RockAuto, Autozone, and other chain stores, so go ahead and post some links.
Any store that has actual physical stores is going to have basically the same markups on thier online priced to help cover the overhead of the stores and they also dont want to compete with the marked up prices in their stores.... You'll want to use real online shopping sites that specialize in selling online... some of the most obvious places to look for realistically good street prices would be amazon or ebay. (If you thinking you dont trust them keep in mind They are the two largest shopping sites online).
