you would have to take the guy to court to get more money than the ins is willing to pay, which is usually blue book.

Dude, if you are sore you should go see the doctor. Adrenaline can totally mask the pain and things show up after it all wears off.

Sorry about your truck but glad your Ok. When my mustang was totaled the insurance company started with nada value then took off for little things like a tear in the seat. They won't add any extra for aftermarket things though- different wheels, stereos, suspension, etc. They actually gave me more than I probably could have sold it for lol. Then I bought it back for $450 and parted it out. Still lost what I had into it but made more back than I thought I would.

Glad to hear you are Ok . Sad to hear your truck is not . I get mine appraised every year , and keep that with my other paperwork . So they don't give me $2000 for my truck when some dummy runs into me and writes it off . Insurance companys **** me off, charge so much money and when you need to claim they get real stingy .

If it was me, I'd fight for every dime I could get from his insurance company. Usually a "boy, my back/neck hurts, maybe I need to go see a doctor" will get them to sweeten the pot a bit.
Then I'd buy the truck back and start fixing it up. Could still be an excellent "weekend warrior"...

Ditto on that one. Trailer that thing to where you want to play so you don't need tags or insurance on it.
