truck is totalled
Guy ran a stop sign and hit me going in excess of 40mph(polices officers words). hit my big bumper squarely. So it bent that and my frame
might be able to repair the ranchhand bumper if i can straighten it. pretty sore right now, but otherwise ok. His truck sustained heavy damage(2005 chevy d-max). Hoping i get some cash out of my truck as it is totaled for sure(already took to a body shop and he stopped at 4500 bucks.) uploading pics to my computer now.

that sucks. at least you where able to walk away from it. i have never had to deal with the insurance company about getting in an accident but i remember a friend of mine had an old s10 that got total from someone else running a red light and he got about $5000 for it and he was only driving around on a trip permit.
NOOOOOOO!!!! Your truck was one of my favorites here, if not my favorite!
If you don't want them to total it, Don't let them total it. Tell them, "You're not MY Insurance company, your client hit me, the police report says it's his fault. My truck was in perfect operating condition before the accident, I want it fixed back to the same condition, and fixed CORRECTLY no matter what the cost."
Unless you guys have the same Insurance Co.

i agree. i think you would get more than blue book value for it since it was the other guys fault and you would need to replace it with something the same or better or you would have to take it to court to get and the insurance would have to shell out even more money..
