MMO works rather nicely too. Tried that in my 98. I have not had to go to Boston to work , so I didn't try the Sta_Bil yet, but was at Walmart yesterday and bought a bottle of ST. I will compare the two when I get a chance. Also, I do use Techron plus once a month and see a difference when I do .

Local golf course superintendent is now using it in their equipment. I think it's time StarBright starts sending my out of work a$$ commission checks... LOL...
Fueled up today, my MPG is down about 1MPG, only thing different over the course of the last tank was I've been running with OD locked out, staying 60mph or below, probably average 55mph.

Putting StarTron in in a few minutes.

I was unable to find Star Tron at my local Wal-Mart but I bought some Lucas fuel treatment for ethanol as that was the closest thing they had.

just a 'for what it's worth'...

*you'll find the star-tron in the marine section, next to boat gas tanks, battery boxes, ect..

*I lost mileage with the first tank.. I'm guessing there was some 'sluff' that came out of fuel lines, tank, or wherever ethanol laced fuel had touched it.. it continued into the second tank, but has been pretty consistent since..

I've been hauling and towing a lot lately, and even ran about 30 miles of trek off road through the Croatan in 4hi 80%, 4lo 20%, so I can't say whether the boosts in economy are still there or not, but I absolutely know the engine likes it for sure..

What concentration did you get? I use the 8 oz. bottle that does 128 gallons of gas, that basically gets me thru over five tankfuls of gas...

The "super" concentrated. 1oz per every 8 gallons of gas (initial fillup), needed about 3oz of StarTron, I put in about 4, the rest in the car.

Will switch over to the 1oz per 16 gallons on the following fill ups.

Gotcha, it's been since early September since I did the initial treatment, forgot that was double. From the data I'm gathering, the older the vehicle the better it does on the Star Tron. I'm thinking vehicles that are newer than about '07 and especially those that are E85 approved aren't effected quite as bad from the ethanol. Obviously auto makers have started changing components and probably the engines themselves to better handle the ethanol.

Curious to hear what you find after two or three tankfulls on it...

i found a place close to work that is suppose to have it in stock but i could not find it when i was there but i was in a bit of a hurry and i hate driving in the city. i have been starting to run the ethanol free 91 octane gas and i think my truck likes it. when i put the petal down it just seems to take off like a rocket or if the roads are wet it likes to spin a lot.
