Default Subwoofer mounting.

Originally I had a nice box that fit under the rear seat which held two forward facing Kenwood 12's at something ****ty like 4 Ohms 125 watts each. Recently upgraded to two 12 inch Alpine Type-Rs hooked up to a 1200w amp. The problem is that they don't fit into the old box . I bought a temporary box for them, but I'd like to get a new box to fit under the rear seats again, but I would have to make a bracket to raise the bench a little bit. Any Ideas?

I had this exact same problem, the basket would hit the inside of the box. What i did on mine was cut a new face board for it and mounted over the top of the existing one for another 3/4" and it worked great. I used alot of liquid nails and a **** ton of 1.5" screws. Then i just recovered the box.
