Seeing as I just noticed he replaced the trans soleniods and installed a deep tranny pan makes me think he might have actually taken pretty good care of the truck

Also all dodges dash board are crap unless they have previously been replaced by a past owner, my truck had two small cracks going up the dash when I first bought it, now have of it is gone!

I have desided against the Black 01, mian reason is the mileage and I just don't trust the guy's honesty.

I'm considering an 01 with 139,000 miles and 2 year old HD built trans.
Also considering that 98 with 122,000 miles.
Yo, you'd think someone wanting to sell their vehicle and touting it would be prepared to have receipts and everything in hand. I'd feel the same as you with passing it up.

Hopefully that 01 with built trans is actually clearly representative.

What do you all think of this:
I test drove it today, very clean, engine bay very clean, drove nice, ,
runs great, trans shifted crisp. New radiator and steering box 2 years ago. rebuilt rearend with new Trac Lock.
Last smog check a year ago, passed "Very Well"
Comes with a very nice Snug Top camper shell.

Only issues I can see are :
Tires will need replaced soon, about 20% left on BFG AT's
Oil needs changed, pretty dirty
One large crack in dash on drivers side
Plastic on side of drivers seat is broke

Looks great especially with your evaluation!

Factor your offer regarding the tires. Other than that this one is ready to roll, would that be fair? As opposed to immediately having to address some issues.

Looks like a decent truck. I just bought an 01 about a month ago and looked for a while before I bought the one I got. That price is better than what I paid and I have quite a bit more work to do to get it back up to snuff but I knew that when I bought it...all in all I think this truck actually picked me. I looked at quite a few but kept coming back to this one for some unexplainable reason. Something about the truck just "clicked" with me. One of the things I do like about mine is that it is the off road edition with the 4.10 gears.

The Mod list in my head is growing, however the only thing its getting for now is an oil change and a going over with a fine tooth comb.
Will need tires soon. Smog numbers are great.

Nicely done!

If you have decided yet, then toss tirebuyer.com into your mix of looking for tires. Folsom Tire Pros here is hooked up with them and you get their warranty/service additionally. They can also price match.

Go to Prairie City nao?

the fact that the soleniods were plugged and failed points to a possible worn tranny thats making heavy filings.... I did mine and it bought me about 10,000 miles before failure...
