Input on purchase of new Gen 2 Ram 1500
Not good enough of a picture or other method to determine leaking, but I think its actually intact!!
Remove the TB altogether b/c its really easy and take that magnet stick with a paper towel taped to the end. Run it down and move it towards the back to scrub some oil. You can get a much better idea of the type of oil....brownie like (acceptable) or liquid (oil pooling possible). Again, just one way to assess with better confidence. It's not 100% though.
Good luck!

With the air cleaner gasket not giving it a good seal, should I be concerned with the filth that could of got sucked in the intake?
To remove TB, just remove the 4 bolts on top of TB? I will need another TB gasket right? I don't have a torque wrench, guess i will be picking up of those tomorrow too...

Not much that you can do about what has gone through intake. If you have to pull intake it will clean off pan. Just clean top of TB and install new seal and you should be good.
Mine is an 01 Laramie SLT and it came with cloth seats and it DID have the Infinity system in it but the freakin PO hacked it all to crap. UGH!
my 01 ram 1500 2wd base with 151,000 work truck beat to hell inside and out but strong V6 engine on it when I traded it in, tranny had a loud whine as well
My mother traded a '99 Pontiac GrandAm with a blown motor and blown transmission, got $1k for it.
