my truck do this when towing?
Never really done much towing before but when pulling a 16 ft tandeem axle utility trailer with about 2-3 cords of wood abkut half green half seasoned going up hill I have to floor it if Im come @ it slow.If Im already rolling Im ok but slow or a dead stop itd a b#&%!. Dont think its the plenum I dont have spark knock I do have hvac issues I cant seem to figure out.If it dosnt snow this weeknd I plan on pulling it down to the shop&checking it...the plenum that is.But Im just wondering is it normal for my truck to perform like this.?

Yea i hauled our 2 snowmobiles in our enclosed trailer, and that's about 2 thousand pounds(sounds like your pulling a lot more) and my trucks was absolutely gutless on the hills, if it shifts outta second it'd fall flat on its face, its because of the 3:55's, when its by it self it pulls up hills good but when you put a little load on it, they become gutless unless re-geared.
Thanks guys...&I thought I out should my in the title...anyways yes I keep od off@zman&No it didn't come with the tow package but does have an aftermarket cooler. After I was looking somemore Ive found a valve cover leak&cant tell if its the valve or the intake but I see a small amount of fluid on the block between the valve cover&watetpump bolt.Alslo looked in my throttle body&saw a small amount of oil so Im headed to the plenum thread Im on page 13 now.
If your plenum gasket is bad, your cat may be partially clogged as well, and will rob power. Might also want to replace PCV (from dealer), and timing set while you are at it.

Why replace the timing chain?I got a kid due like yesterday&a 1 year old so I have zero time to fix it.So even though I dont wanna Im probably just gonna take it to a shop for now&wanna keep my cost down.
Depending how many miles are on your truck, it would be wise to do the timing chain especially while it is tore apart. I did mine at 160000ish miles and there was ALOT of play in it. If there is alot of play like mine had, timing wont be exact and you will lose power. Worst case scenario, it can start to skip or break ect. and then stuff is really FUBAR. I'm thinkin they around $40ish? Been a while, correct me if I'm wrong...
