Placed an order with Advance Auto this morning for the rest of the parts I needed for the plenum repair. I have the Ebay plate. I had a online deal if I spend $100 I get $50 off plus free shipping on orders over $100, pretty sweet actually!

So here is the list:

1. Felpro Manifold Gasket Set
2. Felpro Manifold Bolts
3. Thermostat 195
4. Plugs (Autolite 5224)
5. Wires (Autolite)
6. Dist. Cap (BWD)
7. Rotor (BWD)

Now once my buddy gets done with my brother in laws overhaul of his Subaru WRX, I can get my truck in his garage! And we can tear into her!

Update time!

All has arrived from the parts store. Truck is going to my buddy this weekend. He is gonna repair my plenum gasket/tune up and I will lend him my services on renovating his house, sweet deal! He is a certified ASE mechanic at a local reputable shop.

I am starting to worry about what he might find. Thinking the worst. New heads or a TON of sludge... Hoping for the best. I will keep you guys updated on what he finds...

On the bright side, if it's not the heads and just the plenum... Lift coming! New Gears! And 34-35's!

Dropped off my truck at 5 and my buddy called me at 7:30 and he said the valley is open and it was the worst sludge he has seen... Ever! He Said it was neglected as far as oil changes go. He will be popping off the valve covers and cleaning it all out for me. He will be sending me pics, I will post ASAP!

He stopped after pulling the intake, will wait to hear about plenum gasket...

Hopefully he does a good job cleaning it out, you don't want that **** working it's way down to the oil pan, it'll clog up the pickup tube in a heartbeat. I've seen it myself on my brother in law's Hemi, the screen was sucked into the tube a bit from all the sludge at the screen....

Already ahead of you! Picking up oil pan gasket and new oil pump screen. He is gonna drop it and see what else he finds... Clean it all up. Good thing is the heads/gaskets seem to be fine. Gonna go see the truck first thing in am and drop off parts. Ill take my camera for some shots!

Ok, so here is the update...

Went to AZ and AA and neither had a oil pan gasket in stock, have to order it along will the oil pump screen. That is gonna be the next project we tear into. Right now my buddy is gonna concentrate on cleaning out the valley the best he can without trying to shove crap into the cam. It is disgusting what the 2 previous owners did in regards to regular oil changes. Keep in mind engine only has 108K. The pics are rather crappy with low light and my cell, but you can get the picture rather quickly how bad things are. Fresh oil was pooled inside the manifold, so I believe I found where the oil is going.

I also dropped off new valve cover gaskets, he's gonna pull them and clean everything. I guess after we get the new oil pan gasket, we wants to flush it all out to the pan and then replace the oil pump screen, gasket, and close her back up.
