Yeah, I still like the look better than stock, but I still have my OEM's in my closet just in case.

Found a set of 17" ORE rims on Craigslist this morning but the buyer wanted $450 for them? Sound like a good deal? To me that seems pretty steep, but I would love them on my truck! I have been looking for months and a set finally popped up on CL.

$450 may be a little steep depending on their condition. You could try and bring him down a bit. I bought my set from my brother in law for $50.....

They do look good, no cracking paint or chips or gashes in them. They have a few scratches here and there and small dings. But considering they are from an '01, I'd say damn good shape for being that old. Just can't justify spending $450 on them PLUS having to buy new rubber for them... Not in budget right now... I'll just have to wait and get a good deal for a set. Been calling around the local JY's and nothing as of late...

I will admit that they did look badass at night, I just couldn't get over the "bling" look all the rest of the time. Plus, after owning a real Altezza my disdain for the "Altezza style" tail lights that are on the market for every car imaginable grew significantly.

I am planning to change from OEM rims on mine, and have tentavely budgeted about $400 for them. Of course I don't know that I can find them for that, and will have to buy new tires anyway, so I'll start looking soon. You might check places like pep boys online or something to get an idea of costs, and use that to see if you can talk the guy down on price.

He got back to me via email and asked for my offer on them as I said they are too steep for me. I told him to get back to me in a week or so, if he still has them, and sees that he is getting no interest, I might offer him $200-250 for them. I guess its not a bad price for the set, as I see my stock rims that I currently have now are about $75-90 a piece used.

Upcoming projects include:

1. Change front brake pads

2. Trans temp gauge

3. 2500 front coil spring and new shocks all around

Well brakes are done as of today. Old pads were down to wear tab. Also noticed that two of the four pads were cracked in spots. All pads had cracks in them, could they bet originals or just old? Cheap? What causes this?

I have never seen that before, and I have changed many sets of brakes. Pics!

^^ As far as the pads I would guess heat and wear.

I had brake pads like that on my Blazer once, they were all cracked up, but the damn thing still stopped on a dime!

Yeah, mine worked fine too, although if I hit the brakes hard, it would yank to the right.... Now I know why, old and not worn even. New brakes stop better with no yank! Rotors looked good too, next pad change I will most likely switch them out just because they are cheap.

Next project!
