your going to have to have someone climb in the back and ride around with you to see if they can find it. Mine had a rattle that was driving me crazy, finally found it was one of the latches that hold the back seat bottom down was loose after having my sone ride around with me to help track it down.

Wow, been a bit since the last update. Thought I did the once over on truck before sending it in for inspection. Front pads, rear shoes, fixed the parking cable that was split. I was a month over due, that's pretty good considering the last time my brother in law bet me I couldn't make a year without getting caught... I made it 10 months, then got nabbed.

Well they found one of the gas tank straps rusted through and the other one about to break! Good thing, kinda need that!

Wallet is $330 lighter now... Those damn straps are $90 for the pr from my local shop! Wish I would have caught that before sending her in! Oh well, just money

You need to find one of those good ol lick em n stick em backwoods inspectors like i have......if it rolls and stops, it passes

although, in the case of fuel tank straps i'd probably be glad they saw that. However, i've caught some garages in my area of the state trying to bs their way into fixing things that aren't broken for the sake of making a buck

This is that place... My tires anywhere else will not pass, down to wear lines in tread. My horn works sometimes, if you hit the exact spot it likes... Truth is, could have been way worse at a different shop, glad they actually notice the bad straps

Inspections are BS. Personal responsibility FTW.

I agree. Georgia was great, no inspection no county/city stickers... Just have to have insurance, they get VERY ill when you don't have insurance.. (I always did though)

Virginia is a CommonWealth so it's stupid, vehicle inspection and county sticker. Least I'm not in one of the Northern Va Counties that do emissions testing

Great concept....but even with inspections I see POS vehicles pumping our tons of smoke. Makes you choke if you are stuck behind them in traffic sometimes. Don't they realize if they did not have to put a quart of oil in it every 30 miles they could afford a better car?

^^ haha yeah I don't trust people tri take care of things themselves. There is always the Unresponsible ones that will fail to fix their brakes and crash into me. That would be my luck lol

Glad I live in a place where they make you inspect your car every year. It is a total of $45 to inspect and emissions.

It would be fine if there was at least some consistancy state to state or county to county. Maryland inspections are a joke. You only have to have it done once (or whenever a title changes hands), but it costs like $100 and they check EVERYTHING! I had an aftermarket tach on my steering column on a car I had and they failed it because it "obstructed the viewing of the instruments". They also fail for headlights not aimed properly, which is a scam because if you hav e them aimed properly at a shop or somewhere, the floor won't be the same so the aim will be off when you have it inspected. I hated living there for many reasons, but that was one of the reasons....they also sniff the tailpipe, or at least they did when I lived there.

Government control is never the answer to personal stupidity. In fact, it is the CAUSE.

Now I'm getting this all kinds of off topic. Sorry Nereaga.
