96 vs 98 1500
have a 98 ram 1500 w/96 owners manual, are they basically the same?

I think 96 had obd1 computers and the 98 had obd2

96 was the first year of OBDII. Sorta.....

But the owners manual doesn't get into that......OP was asking about Onwners mManual, so i think most everything would be similar.
