Default headers

the shorty headers on e bay do? they bolt right on to the y pipe? or do i need a special pipe

Most of the shorties are pretty much direct replacements for the stock manifolds. however, your biggest restriction is the stock y-pipe. I would replace that before going with headers, or, if you can, do both at the same time.

I hav a pair of ebay headers if you wanna buy them. They are sitting in my garage taking up space, have a pair of pace setter gaskets for them to for the right amount i could include my magnaflow high-flow cat. If your interested shoot me a PM

many of the stainlesss ones on ebay have a very tall flange that needs to be ground away to clear the plugs....there is a seller EWORLD racing sales that sells a superior set that worked and fit great for me... 400 miles and they barely changed color with the eastwood interior header coating I used on them... I replaced cracked rusted pacesetters and these better in every way...
I paired mine up with a magnaflow part#23285 stainless cat which comes with pipes attached to bolt right up to the headers and go to the muffler...
but stock pipes will bolt right up too...
I paid 140 for the headers with gaskets and 184 for the cat and pipes shipped also...
