I did my truck with the dupli color bed armour that comes in a rattle can. You can see it in my sig pic and it took me 3 cans to do both sides of the bed and to do the top part on the bed rails. I figure if i would have gotten the actual roll on type i could have done it in my guart or gallon.. whatever size it comes in

Something like my truck then?? It took me, like you said, about a quart and a half to do roughly 4 inches up, and around the fenders, and the bed caps. And that was 2 good coats on it. Just 1 coat is semi-transparent

Edit: forgot, also did my roll bar, with the same quart and a half. Bad thing though, is even after hammering the lid of the 1/2 can I had left, 4-5 months later it'd dried up in the can. Not sure if there's a way to not have that happen. I made sure it was sealed.

Try storing the can upside down, that goes for any paint actually.

I mixed a quart can of bed liner with a half quart of semigloss tractor paint, I then used a cheap siphon fed sandblaster to spray it on. I think it came out perfect
