Look's like a move North is in our future.. :icon_snow:
I chimed in just to agree because I believe that what you said is very important. This isn't the forum for it, but my ex-wives taught me quite a lot I'd rather have had no need of knowing. The biggie of them all is one that applies to most of life: If the relationship is about control rather than cooperation it's a destructive relationship. One who would control you does not and cannot respect you, can never have your best interests at heart, and will always trample you for his or her own benefit even if the only benefit is ego gratification. The first divorce is always the hardest. By the third or fourth you order the party invitations even before having your spouse served the divorce papers.
y'all are way too nice...
pack your bags and hit the road bitch! don't let the door hit ya in the *** on your way out!
seriously if she wants to move and gave you an ultimatum: be supportive and help her pack her bags! you and the kids stay.
9/10 chicks won't go when they stamp there little feet.
obviously say it in a nicer way, but don't back down...dude you are living in paradise! I would absolutely love to have a paid for house on 55 acres with a creek!
if that creek flows a decent amount of water year round, you are sitting on a HUGE money saver!
I would build a structure either in the water or next to it to redirect a good portion of that water and flow it right into a water turbine or two
do it right and you can live off the grid, or better yet hooked to the grid and making money off of excess power generated being fed back into the grid.

Thanks for all the support and advice guys.
But ultimately it comes down to moving back to Fitzgerald. Another U Haul and another road trip, this Friday is when we leave. And NO, I'm not going off roading with the damn U Haul again.......
Gonna limp the truck down with no reverse, it should do fine. Drive gears are still solid. If not it just means I get a new transmission.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't wanna be in Georgia, but I also wanna be here. But I can't be in both places at once, well, until clones are readily available
Who knows what the future holds...
HammerZ71 was right, something about Georgia gets in your blood...

Good luck with that, man. All the way back to its earliest predecessor, loss of reverse means loss of the whole shebang is not far behind. When it lets go it'll likely be sudden, so don't make u-turns anywhere near curves or hills, or left turns with oncoming traffic approaching.

i don't think that is true. i think it is just like moving out of home for the first time. it don't feel right for the first couple of months but if you last a year you forget all about it.
lol don't let him move here...especially during the summer....during any other season than summer, its easy to drive people away from this side of washington state, but if they come here during the summer, guaranteed they wont leave till the weather changes...
little to no humidity at all, cools down at night, warm during the day, green trees and forests as far as the eye can see, snow capped mountains, rivers, creeks, lakes, and water EVERYWHERE. no poisonous snakes, no scorpions, no west nile virus or killer bees lol.
Cheap electricity (hydroelectric dams everywhere...this state supplies power to the entire west coast)
its the non summer months that drive people away...it rains...a lot...like 9 months out of the year lol. usually only a week of snow...mostly just rain rain and more rain.
