Not sure what you mean?? It was just the kind ya drop over the ball and flip the little handle that locks the jaws onto the ball

I used a 6x12 enclosed uhaul when we moved. It had that scew type tongue. It stayed fine for me, but then it was only 30-40 miles one way. Took me 3 trips.

Id play it safe and stop after every hour of driving for the first few hours to check it. If it stays the same the first 3 times you check it, it should be fine the rest of the trip to check it when you fuel up.

Make sure the little tab thing locks the **** in place. That will keep it form backing off. And +1 on checking it.....and tires....
