Default installed Bushwacker pocket flares..

I didnt care for the way my tires stick out past the body. So I ordered a set of Bushwacker pocket flares from bushwackerfactoryoutlet.com (took about 2 weeks to get them, originally I was told it would be longer)

Installation is common sense other than the hardware that comes with it. I have no idea how these clips work. I didnt need them anyways.

I did a test fit of the front flares and turned the wheel lock to lock and noticed some minor rub. So I trimmed the lower edge of the flare and made some simple little 90 degree brackets to secure it.

The back edge of the rear flare wouldnt sit flush with the body line..had about a 1/4" gap. So I removed one of the existing 'fake bolt heads' in the flare, drilled into the sheetmetal, and used a longer bolt to secure the flare to the fender that way. Extra hole doesnt bother me. Makes the flare more secure

Originally my idea was to paint the flares but a photoshop test confirmed it looked pretty cheesy. Thankgod for photoshop! If I ever do decide to paint them, I'm going to use that bed coat stuff.

:Look good. Did you photoshop with glossy black?

The front ones don't interfere with the door?

Jeff, you have one of the best looking 2nd gens on this site. Any possibility you could put up a few with the whole truck in the picture?

Thanks..its one of those 20/20 kind of trucks. Looks great in the pix but has a few areas that arent so hot once you get close to it. Looks downright rough when parked next to a brand new truck.

Ooooh nice pictures

I know what you mean about pictures, mine looks pretty nice in pictures as well (though not near as good as yours) and from far away, but it really isn't...
