Still a show off.
I only get 10.5 dl....

Then again, sometime this summer it should be up to like 15 or higher.
I haven't had any issues with the forum, I have attributed it to FF and my not having it properly set up yet; I run Chrome and it boogies.

The ads that are popping open that I was getting is from the ads on the right side of the screen. As I would scroll down, then roll curser over across the screen, the ad would open up in the middle of the screen.....strange stuff....

Nothing here. I had even been surfing at the time when y'all were having trouble with it.

Same thing as the Pennzoil bar. I wasn't having any issues when everyone else was. Weird.

gotta get yourself some comcast cable interwebs! not the cheapest, but its the fastest in my area for what I pay. ($60/mo)

If I wanted to pay more I could get 50mbps down, or even 100Mbps down but thats like $200/mo...

Thing is, you could have a gigabit connection to the web, but, you can still only get the data as fast as the sending server is willing to hand it to you...... Usually less than 2mb/sec.

yep that's pretty quick. Cable company claims we are 35 mb/s here, but when I test it, it's usually between 19-24 d/l and 2.5-3.5 u/l...

Well, I dont have that add issue anymore. And DF is the ONLY slow website right now. We have had this same issue here many times in the last few years. And then all of a suddn it's fine again. So I don't know, it's very annoying though, since this is where I spend most of my time online.

Its likely due to the websites new owners and the new privacy policy agreement that popped up on my screen today which states they are going to collect your personal information and online habits from things including your browsers cookies ... sigh...I hope I'm somehow wrong but judging by the large increase in junkmail im getting this or another forum I belong to is doing just that already...
and yes I use the ad / spam blocker for all the new crap trying to rob real estate on my screen...

Zman,
I too noticed the DF site goes up and down often over the last few years more than others? And I have the high speed cable internet...
