Default radiator hose

I need to change my upper radiator hose on my Ram 5.9(gas) do I have to move the A/C compressor to do it? it looks like its in the way

You don't have to.... but, it may make it easier. I just use a pair of channel locks on the clamp, (if you don't have a screw clamp on there) Or, the
really nice specific tool really nice specific tool
for those clamps.

It's a tight fit, but removal will depend on how the clamp is positioned. While you are there, it may be best to move AC out and take a look down here for any potential problem:

its tight, but i've had mine off without removing the AC.

another approach is to removing the t-stat pipe and pull hose and pipe out together. just be gentle and try to avoid breaking a bolt as that causes things to suck quickly. while the t-stat pipe is off, grind off the "front" tab to make it fit back in nicer.

Just be glad it wasn't the bypass hose.

I habitually roeplace all hoses when i have to replace one. better to do it once that drain and change several times.

Probably a smart move. I recently replaced my water pump, the bypass hose was SHOT. PITA to replace....
