A friend of mine has a 97 ram p/u. one night about 5a.m. her horn started going off for about 25 minutes. Then stopped on its own. Now the horn doesnt work (if you push the button, you can hear it click in the relay box but nothing else) and the headlights went off and now will not come back on. All of the relays in the box under the hood have been replaced. What is going on?
There are fuses by the realys and there is a fuse panel inside the driver door at the end of the dash...at least on a 99. Not sure on a 97. have to check.
Check the fuse panel inside the cab. If nothing stands out, open up your steering column and check for any loose wires or shorts. Things like this like to happen on tilt steering. Also, be sure the check your grounds. A bad ground can cause all sorts of crazy things to happen.
