Default Lets see where you work

I thought this could make for an interesting on going thread. Show us some pictures of where you work and what you may be working. Kinda curious if anyone else has it as rough as i do. Lol

This our 4 bay shop we used 2 of the bays for granite fabrication and the other 2 for storage, which my red and white ram is in one of those.

In this pic u can see a few full slabs of granite, they weigh about 1400 lbs a peice. We use the 1950's forklift you can see there to move them around but we still have to tilt them and lay them on our large cut table by hand.

That trailer with the large a-frame is what we use to transport slabs, thats what i will be doing with my truck. The trailer and a-frame itself weighs around 4k lbs.

This is a customers island i am currently working on, its huge. It weighs about 950lbs dry. It will have to unloaded with a tractor off of the trailer and then carried by HAND into the customers house. What sucks is only 2 guys can really carry it at a time.

This is the saw we use to cut the slabs. It weighs 140lbs and has to pick up and placed on steel tracks for each cut.

I will probably add pics on a regular basis as they arise.

Driving forklifts can be fun, especially on a smooth slab like that

its not that fun. some things are just a pain in the @$$ like moving a crate that is 22ft long. last weekend there was 1 trailer that took me and 2 other guys 5 hours to load. usually most trailers take 1 person no more than 2 hours to load.
