^^^^ lol if you do drop the pan check for your magnet that should be in the pan. Might have knocked it loose. Also inspect for a broken crankshaft. I had a ram that made a clunking and suspected rod knock buy i was hearing it from the pan, ended up being a broken crank.

Did you replace the pan too, or just the gasket?

Check you're inspection plate. Mine got loose when I changed my oil pump and rattled something crazy. I thought my truck was about to blow up.

when i removed/reinstalled my oil pan and inspection plate cover, my flex plate (flywheel thingy) was hitting the plate and making a horrible noise.

the plate and oil pan have to hook together on that big lip.

if it wasn't banging before, and you removed nothing critical, then you have something hitting.
