Default AC not blowing cold

2001 Dodge 2500 Diesel

AC doesn't blow cold when idling. When driving down the road it seems to work fine.

Any idea what is causing this??

Check refrigerant level. May not be sufficient for low rpm and then be OK at higher rpm. Also, I do not know if the 01 has the blend door problem. Someone will chimne in if it does. I have never had an issue on mine so no experience with that and only read on posts.

Well going off of both threads you have I would say to check the fan/fan clutch. It will definately over heat if the fan isn't working properly and the a/c won't be cold when you aren't moving because there isn't enough air going through the condenser.

Yeah I didnt know for sure if the two problems had to do with the same issue or not. No one I spoke with seemed to think they did. Just seemed odd both started happening around the same time

+1 on starting off with the fan clutch. Clean the fins too.

Gonna try the fan clutch and hopefully that solves both my problems. Thanks for the help and I'll let you know!
