We my stepfather and I cleaned out the chimney for the fireplace in our bedroom, it went rather good.

My grandfather never used that fireplace, there were a couple of old birds nests but other then that it was nice and clean.

Tested it out, no leaks, no fire where there shouldn't be any.

Got a fire going in it right now actually

The fireplace will be essential when the winter weather really kicks in. It was nice enough today to wear shorts

Being the house is OLD, it has no central heat and air. So all we have besides fire is some base heaters and a propane monitor stove.

Well fireplaces will keep it nice and warm.. We used to have a woodstove and some baseboard heaters and they did fine.. Then we made the jump to central air and an oil furnace..

I'm told this weather is about normal for this time of year, seems a bit warm to me for end of November.

We've got a boiler that runs Diesel #2 when we can find it, Regular Road Diesel when we can't, keeps the pipes from freezing.

Can't wait for some SNOW dammit!
