Here's my practice board by the end of the day. Of course, 90+ temps and high humidity were crappy conditions to paint in, drying the paint out super quick, but I managed with lots of reducer. :P
I used a Kafka #3 pinstriping brush, and one-shot lettering paint. Practicing on a glass picture frame, so when the paint dries, I can just scrape it off with a razor blade, and do it all over again.

Thanks, lol. After watching as many informative youtube videos as I could, I figured it looked easy enough. When I got started though, it wasn't quite as easy as the pros make it look. Ah well, practice, practice, and when im done practicing, practice some more, and I'll get it down. Just gotta learn gold-leafing next, and I'll be on my way to doing some real custom work. I'm not very good free handing with my airbrush, but stencils/ masking help quite a bit. The goal is to get 'em all mastered, here in the next few years, and make some easy money. It's surprising what some people will charge just to do a simple stripe job. But as stated before, anyone with a dodgeforum.com sticker, I'll stripe up for free. ;-P

Finally got "los juevos" to put my airbrush/ pinstriping brush on my truck. Found a decent design on the web. Made a stencil on wax paper, traced the design, cut it out, and airbrushed the design. Then went back and pinstriped the borders to cover up some of the overspray, that the stencil let happen. Wasn't too happy about that. But, I think it turned out alright, and I was using a new brush, that I wasn't too familiar with. Was a mack 00 sword striping brush, and it was my second time using the brush, so the red lines are kind of ugly, but I learned quite a bit using it. If the design would have been bigger, I'd have used my kafka #3 scrolling brush, as it'd made the curves a bit easier to do, but ah well. It turned out alright. And from about 5 ft. away, you can't even see all the ugly lines. Oh, forgot I also debadged the tailgate, and plan on putting "4x4"
somewhere in my design.
