Do you have a 180 degree thermostat or is it still the factory 195? Cooler thermostats contribute to loss in fuel mileage...if you haven't had a tune-up recently then that could certainly be a factor as well. Might be time for new o2 sensors and a timing chain too...I also don't know how your speedo could be "on the dot" unless you have had it re-calibrated for your increased tire size. My truck came stock with 265/70/17 (I also have an offroad edition) and I too have 285/70/17...so at 60 mph, my speedo is off by like 2 mph or so. Obviously it depends on what speed you are travelling but I would think that it should be reading a little low...
According to my hand calculations, I get 38 smiles per gallon. I tend to not even think about miles per gallon anymore hahah. Smiles per gallon make up for the mileage LOL

Well ORE Rams came with 275/70R17 factory(if I'm not mistaken). I didn't recalibrate it when I went from 33x12.5x17(what it had when I got it) to 285/70R17 and I've checked with my phone on all the increments of 10 to see if it's right and it is. Maybe the previous owner recalibrated it? I'm the 2nd.
