You should be reporting about 12. Do you have a heavy foot? Does that city driving include a lot of heavy traffic or long waits at traffic lights?

No i actually drive pretty conservatively, I drive about 3-4 miles to work takes about 7 mins, bout 4-5 lights. Traffic is not bad or long waits, not sure why its so low. One thing i have noticed is it does not matter if I drive like i stole it or if i drive like gramps.

I even went down from a 315/70 to a 285/70 thinking it would help but no dice.

So far I have not driven my ram with the 5.9 liter enough to calculate any solid numbers yet, but I do know for the general driving I do it is costing me less than the amount of gas my old dakota used.

I haven't put a full tank in my truck yet since buying it last month but today I put on 108 Miles from the needle being exactly at half tank at start & ended my trip at exactly quarter tank. Anyone know how many gallons in the tank for that range? I thought that was pretty damn good mileage, especially with a burnout or two.

You have a 26 gallon tank. A quarter tank being 6.5 gallons. And you drove 108 miles...i'd have to guess (using a calculator) about 16.6 mpg.

y'all aren't taking into account that some of us live in mountain ranges and foothills... you cant go a mile in this area without being on some kind of hill. they are everywhere and they absolutely rape fuel economy.

I get 14mpg. when truck was stock it got 18mpg with the same tires and gear ratio. my injectors are bad and need to be pop tested and adjusted to higher pressures. they are injecting way too early which is just wasting fuel causing the truck to smoke heavily. even hazes it idle.

once I fix that I should be back in the 16-17mpg range.
