I'm looking to under coat my 97 1500 sport and was wondering if any one had any idea how much it would take and what the best coating to use

 

Two cans.

I like SEM, but the parts store under coating isn't bad. The SEM is almost like paint, doesn't have that rough texture, its pretty nice.

If you really wanted to do a bang up job POR15 would be ideal, but that gets pricey in a hurry.

 

Two cans won't get you very far. If you want to undercoat the entire truck and get up in the nooks and crannies you'll need half a dozen cans at least.

 

i did mine, i used like one can per axle, and then like 1 can per side of the truck

 

Do you guys use the spray stuff or the brush on
