I cant get my latch to align right with the striker I need help here I just unbolted it and bolted up the new door.

The bushings on the pins might be worn out.

I tried it on a scrap hood I have for setting spray gun....not too bad, but too much sanding to blend.

Does the striker seem to high or too low? Can you see it as you close door against it slowly? If you can see which way it may need to move, loosen it, move slightly, and barely tightned screws and see if it works. Trial and error.

it hits good but the latch itself is on the outside of the striker and not making contact to the striker to actually latch itself to where it wont come open.
