stock cat?
I ran a high flow cat with no muffler (It dumped right after the cat, not out the back) for a few months. Very loud; everyone within a 1 mile radius will be staring in your direction, and you can't have a conversation in the truck with the windows down.

I like having a muffler a lot better.

Your truck isn't a race car and it shouldn't be treated like one either. If you want loud at least get a glasspack. It will still let it roar, but it will stop it from popping.

Well a glasspack style muffler didn't stop my truck from popping but it sure pops a whole lot quieter now with it on there.

Well I didn't mean completely stop the popping. Mine only pops on startup, but it sounds mean at WOT.

Mine has disemboweled feline, with a 24" Thrush glasspack in place of the stock muffler.

I think it sounds great. My mom thinks so, too. My wife, on the other hand, hates it.

5.2L with stock cat and straight piped

The same 5.2L with a glass pack and a Magnaflow cat

I had a glass pack on each pipe (dual pipes split off after the cat) but I didn't get a video of that before going to just one glass pack and a Magnaflow cat.
